Great visit with Christway/Pastoral conversation

Christway Baptist Church, in its 26th year of ministry, is a dynamic English speaking congregation of people who principally originated in the Caribbean.  Their visionary pastor, Dr. Wesley Green, is always a delight to be around: for his enthusiasm about the work of Christ and desire to see the Lord glorified through the ministry of Christway.  That includes Christway's involvement in the cooperative ministries of Southern Baptists - including Gulf Stream.

I was blessed to preach in that service. (the video is available on Youtube at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TBE7Fk03-S8&t=782s).  Thanks for the wonderful opportunity to open the Word and to share, Dr. Green!

This morning at the GSBA office I met with several pastors for a discussion of the truths in the book, The Pastor's Soul: The call and care of an undershepherd.  This group will be meeting each Tuesday in July for sharing and fellowship around the ideas in the book by Brian Croft and Jim Savastio.  If you are a GSBA pastor and would like to be part of a group like this in September, please reach out to me at dminshew@gsba.org.
Looking forward to hearing great things from pastors today about God's work in His churches this past Sunday.

On Saturday night (that's right, Saturday night) I was given the privilege to preach, bringing the Haitian Pastor's Fellowship Evangelism Conference to a conclusion.  The night was filled with music, worship of many different styles, honor and the Word. Peterson Guerrier was the worship leader for the evening. He was joined by a dynamic praise team of four young women and a rocking praise band.  They did a wonderful job of leading the assembly in worship and praise.  Two choirs also sang during the evening. The ladies choir from the host church, First Haitian Baptist Church of Pompano, filled the choir loft and filled the sanctuary with very traditional choir sound.  Later, a smaller choir from Conservatrice Baptist Church did the same th
